DisAPPear app for iPhone and iPad

DisAPPear is based on the classic game Tic Tac Toe but pushes its boundaries by turning it into a memory puzzle game as well. Random pieces will be blanked (turn completely yellow) and the player must remember what it was originally.

Tapping on a blanked out (yellow) piece can be either good or bad, depending on the players memory. If they tap on a blank that was their own piece then the game is over. Otherwise they are given points depending on what the blank really contains. If the blanked out piece is really the computers piece then the user is not just awarded with points but also obtains possession of that piece as their own!

You must balance between speed, strategy and memory to play effectively. Playing too slowly results in an accumulation of blanked tiles that are difficult to remember. Although going for a piece for strategic points may be good for your score, it could mean you dont block a winning move by their computer or miss out on your own winning move.

Unlike most Tic Tac Toe games DisAPPear allows you to play on 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5 board sizes. You can also change the difficulty level for the game strategy or memorisation challenge on the setup page. Also on the setup page is the ability to turn off the original soundtrack and sound effects.
